Managing Integrations for a Project

Under the Integrations tab in the Home page, you’ll be able to view a full list of integrations available for your project and manage them accordingly.

 

Turn your integrations on and off in the details sidebar to the right. There, you will also see a brief explanation of the integration, a link to the integration’s help page, and in some cases, the ability to enable the integration for all new experiments by default.

Some integrations are supported by our technology partners and cannot be configured within Optimizely today. Please see our Technology Partners page for more information.

Managing Integrations for an Experiment

Some integrations require a separate configuration for each experiment. For example, you may want to enable an integration for a subset of your experiments or use different settings for each experiment. In these cases, you can make this changes in the Editor.

First, navigate to your experiment’s Editor and click Options > Integrations. 

Once clicked, you will see a list of integrations you’ve enabled for your project. You can turn on experiment tracking by clicking the checkbox next to the corresponding integration and then clicking Apply. If you have already set the integration to track all experiments by default (like ClickTale for example), you’ll notice the box will already be checked.
 

  

Integration Types and Partners

There are currently four types of integrations supported by Optimizely; Analytics, Audience, Call Tracking, and Heatmap. Within the Home page, you can filter integrations by these categories.

Analytics Integrations allow you to see the impact of Optimizely experiments in the analytics platform of your choice. By enabling any of the integrations, you allow Optimizely to send data to the platform in question, so you can see how each variation in a specific experiment affected common metrics like visit duration, and bounce rate. Heatmap Integrations allow you to see the impact of Optimizely experiments in the heatmap tool of your choice. By enabling any of the integrations, you allow Optimizely to send data to the platform in question, so you can learn why your visitors convert and generate ideas for future experiments. Our Heatmap Integrations include:

Audience Integrations allow you to create Optimizely audiences directly from a third-party tool, so you can target and personalize experiments based on third-party data. These integrations are currently supported by our partners and may require some manual setup. Our Audience Integrations include:

Call Tracking Integrations allow customers to use phone calls as a goal for their experiments, as opposed to the default goals such as clicks and page views. These integrations are currently supported by our partners and may require some manual setup. Our Call Tracking Integrations include:

Content Management: allow customers to leverage the full power of Optimizely on a platform that manages content. Customers can create, configure, and run experiments directly from their content platform interface without having to login to Optimizely. These integrations are currently supported by our partners and may require manual setup. Our Productivity Integrations include:
