Add users to multiple accounts

Optimizely allows users to log in to multiple accounts. Why would you use this feature?

  • You are an agency or consultant who manages multiple Optimizely customers, and you want to be a collaborator on your clients' accounts

  • You are an Optimizely Enterprise customer with a centralized testing team that manages multiple accounts in your organization

To be added to multiple accounts, ask the Administrator or Project Owner of the account (depending on the permission level you need) to invite you.

Let's walk through how an administrator ( can add a second user ( as a project owner.

  1. Navigate to the project you're adding a collaborator to. Select the Collaborators tab and click New Collaborator.

  2. Add the email address, select the collaborator role, and click Invite.

Switch between multiple accounts

Now that Bob has set up multiple accounts, he can toggle between and any other account that he's been added to. Here's how Bob would log into the client's account:

Change account names

To change an account name:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings and the Accounts tab.

  2. Use the text field to change your account name, then click Save.

Here's what Bob (the client) would do to change his account name:

After the account administrator changes the name, the new name will appear in your account options.

Access Optimizely support with multiple accounts

When working with multiple accounts, it’s important to note that they might have different levels of support. Access to different levels of support may vary depending on your Optimizely plan type.

The Optiverse support section displays your support options based on the last account you signed into.

If you do not see this screen, it might be because you are signed into an account that does not include support options. Here's how to resolve this:

  1. Click your account name in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Sign out

  3. Go back to the Optimizely Home page (not the Optiverse home page) and switch to the desired account.

  4. Return to the Support section of Optiverse and click Sign In.

This will sign you in based on your last-accessed Optimizely account and show you the support options for that account.
