Looking to enable SSO for an Enterprise customer? Contact your friendly local TSE who can follow these instructions for enabling SSO. 

Optimizely lets you implement Single Sign-On (SSO) through SAML 2.0, an open standard data format for exchanging authentication and authorization information. This allows your team to log in to Optimizely using their existing corporate credentials. SSO is an account-level feature that will apply across all projects and experiments.

Optimizely SSO is available for Azure Active Directory (AD). See detailed tutorial on the Azure AD and Optimizely integration here.

 
Note:

Single Sign-On (SSO) is available for all Optimizely X packages. If you’re interested in gaining access to this feature, please contact your Customer Success Manager or sales@optimizely.com.

Activating SSO

Once SSO is enabled, all users will have to log in via SSO. The ability to log in with an email and password will be disabled.

To access SSO settings, go to Account Settings by logging in to Optimizely.

In Optimizely X, navigate to Account Settings > Security and Privacy. You'll need to contact your CSM or support to enable SSO.

SSO login

If you already have enabled SSO in Optimizely X, follow these steps to sign in to your Optimizely account: 

  1. From the sign in page, click Log in using SSO.

  2. You’ll be redirected to the SSO page, where you’ll enter an Optimizely-recognized email address, which is authenticated by your Identity Provider.
  3. If your email is recognized as a user with an SSO who has permissions on any account, you’ll be challenged for your credentials by your Identity Provider. This step is skipped if you already have a session open.
